Megan & Jake Waters’ Modern Omaha Wedding at the Omaha Design Center

On May 24th, 2024, Megan and Jake celebrated their marriage with a timeless, design-forward wedding day that blended tradition, style, and serious celebration. From a meaningful ceremony at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church to a showstopping reception at the Omaha Design Center, their wedding was a joy to plan—and even more fun to be part of.

From Ceremony to Celebration

Megan and Jake kicked off their day at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where they exchanged vows surrounded by friends, family, and the peaceful beauty of a traditional Catholic ceremony. After the ceremony, guests made their way to the Omaha Design Center, where the celebration truly came to life.

Design Details We Loved

Megan and Jake's vision was romantic and brightly colored with soft textures and thoughtful details woven throughout. The floral design by Ethereal Floral Studio featured subtle, romantic blooms that softened the sleek industrial space of the reception venue.

Touches like an ice cream bar from Cold Stone Creamery, warm wood and white accents, and a bold dance floor created an experience that was fun, welcoming, and totally personalized.

As Megan and Jake's wedding planner, my role was to take the bride's overall vision and develop a design plan, while also coordinating with vendors throughout the entire process. I helped bring all the pieces together— sourcing all the decor pieces for the reception, managing setup, coordinating vendors, and keeping the entire day flowing smoothly so Megan and Jake could stay present in every moment, while the day's aesthetics reflected them perfectly.
